Reflection # 3

     After reading through Stages of Technology Integration, I feel I am a mixture of a couple of these stages. I can only compare my experiences on a personal level since I have not started my professional career. I think I am between Stage 2: Adoption and Stage 3: Adaptation. I identify with these two the most because in Stage 2 Adoption I do tend to use websites that make sense to me and then ill just hold on to them, I don't really like using new technology because it scares me :/ lol so I stick to what I know, even with that being said, there are points to this stage that I don't agree with. I don't feel that technology should be left up to another teacher to be taught to student, I mean if I had a classroom, I would definitely want to integrate technology into my everyday teaching, especially because the direction technology and education are heading in. And I feel I Identify with Stage 3 because if I was a teacher I would probably be adding technology to existing lessons. I would love to see myself at stage 4 when I begging teaching, that would be a great asset to have as a new teacher. I also think it would be refreshing to students to have a teacher that uses cool technology in the classroom, and of course it goes back to the whole, it will make learning so much more fun for them.
